A QUICK READ DESCRIBING MY HERITAGE FARM PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

The culmination of my current master’s degree in Preservation Design is now upon me. A required practicum or hands on project is on my horizon. I hope you can help make it a success?

Raising funds through art sales and commissions is my plan to implement this project.  Commissions are based on your size specifications and price range. These completed paintings will be completed in the order they are received and have a six-month delivery. Delivery is subject to your approval until you feel a painting speaks to you. I will also take donations of any amount and can work with businesses as sponsors and offer web exposure and recognition through my update posts and communications.

WHAT IS NEEDED?

My fundraising goal is $5500 and is needed now as preparations are underway to outline the structure of my development for this 40-acre historical property. It is untouched and only being developed as a cultural asset north of Pensacola. The property was donated to the city and the scope includes multiple sectors that will positively affect many people. It was the first project that invited me to connect and create a proposal. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of such a fantastic process and cultural experience. The funds are needed to allow me the opportunity to contribute and create a successful product. Every new activity I participate in increases my ability to formulate and implement new initiatives here at home and future cultural growth.

WHY, HOW AND WHEN?

If you were considering purchasing artwork, help support my passion for local culture and the arts by funding my goal to continue serving the Baton Rouge community. Utilizing my artwork as part of my fundraising allows me to offer you something physical in return while you will see reports of my venture as things progress. You will experience the impact your contribution as you visualize my progress through photos and blog entries. I can also send you personal updates as the project evolves. The funding raised assists me with transportation, room and board, and equipment during my site visits which will take place on a rolling basis between now and December 2019.

MY PERSONAL CONNECTION

This experience is special to me and a personal milestone in trusting my path to work and interact with communities on a cultural level. Preserving moments in time showcases the importance of the story they hold. The mission is to strengthen my ability to preserve the functionality of the built environment, art and culture as it connects with the community. This connection will help us sustain a sense of place. The past, present and future will be linked to increase interaction through preservation utilizing Architecture, Archeology, Anthropology, Horticulture, the written and spoken word and visual art. This site-specific recordation and multifaceted project will enhance the life of this community, highlight local history through discovery and tactile interaction.
